Nomad Sketchers is a chapter of artists who travel all around Los Angeles & Orange County and paint strangers—free—for 15 minutes! In exchange, they get to keep the paintings. This happens once a month.
Our smaller group formerly held a similar activity at Huntington Beach’s Surf City Nights, a farmer’s and artisanal market right by the beachside. Every Tuesday evening, 2 other artists and I offered free 15 minute portraits for any passerby who would like some good conversation and a free painting of themselves! Sometimes we had guest artists paint with us as well.
