This is up to the couple or event host!

Some common wedding choices include the wedding dip, first kiss, first look, or simply strolling through the background holding hands. Pick a pose that reflects your personalities. You can decide on poses any time before the wedding. On your wedding day I will take a photo of you for reference in your desired pose.

For other events: The guest(s) of honor, a landscape, an impressionistic rendering of guests partying at your event, the choices are endless depending on the event! I can also help you explore more options during our consult.

For weddings, I will set the couple aside for 5-10 minutes at an agreed upon time and arrange them in their desired poses for the painting. Adjusting the veil, bouquet, and any adornments on the couple will be made as-needed until approved by the couple. Beforehand, I will arrive early to begin painting the background.

For other events: This depends on what we want to capture. If it is a plein air scene, I will paint directly from life. If painting certain individuals, I will set them aside the same way in order to pose them for the painting.

This is also up to the couple/event hosts! But I can also make my best artistic suggestion if asked. The day of the event, I will arrive earlier to set up and begin painting the background. Ultimately, I suggest the outdoors for the most beautiful, romantic backdrop. This can include gardens, oceans, fountains, mountains and trees. If the background selected is especially floral, I can also incorporate flowers similar to the event color-scheme or bridal bouquet, for that extra special touch.

From the venue:

• A 6’ x 6’ space as far away from speakers as possible.

• (Recommended) Access to a power outlet or any source of light would be a big help.

• Vendor meal (no restrictions)

• (Recommended if outdoors) An umbrella or canopy to paint under

Currently, it is a flat rate of $1800 for up to 7 hours of live acrylic painting on an 18×24” hardboard canvas.

Please note that the painting will not be fully completed at the venue, and will be touched-up/varnished at the studio and delivered to the event hosts at a later date.

For weddings and all other events: The rate includes a rendered painting of up to two people and a background of their choice.

Any additional subjects will be an additional $100 each, painted in a more gestural sort of style, in order to make the couple at the center of attention. Pets can be included free of charge within reason.

Up to 50 miles within 92868 are covered in my hourly rate! Each additional mile is $0.73. If airline travel and overnight is necessitated (usually over 4 hour drive), there will be cost for airfare and hotel stays instead.

You sure can! This would be one of my custom commissions. All you have to do is email a clear, high-resolution photo of what you would like painted, and I will create a painting just as beautiful as if I were on-location!

The paintings are initially created with high quality acrylic paints, and subsequently finished with oils back at the studio. They are then sealed with a UV resistant, protective semi-gloss varnish.

The painting itself is touched-up, completed, and varnished back at the studio. Normally completion rate ranges from 40%-70% by the end of the event, depending on outside factors, subject matter, and time duration at the venue location. Subjects and the main focal points of the painting will be prioritized most for completion on-site.

Paintings typically take 2 months to complete (mainly due to the oil layers drying). Once ready, it will either be hand-delivered or shipped to an address of your choosing. Delivery is included with the rate.

I will subsequently reach out to you within 2 days and schedule a free consultation about what you would like. From there, a contract will be created for your signature with the pricing/event details. Once completed and signed, a nonrefundable retainer fee of 50% will be requested in order to secure the date the live painting will be performed. Once paid, the date is officially yours!

The remaining 50% will need to be fulfilled a week before the event itself.
